Long stay care

Valentia Cottage Hospital is a 16-Bedded Hospital including 2 respite beds.

Day Care

A Day Care Service is provided for the elderly of the community since 1990. It currently operates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Those attending are collected from and taken safely back home by the Centre’s bus service.

A hot meal is served in the middle of the day and other services provided include

• attending nurse
• chiropody
• hairdresser.

Occupational therapy activities include

• knitting
• card playing
• music
• aromatherapy
• music and entertainment.

Community Laundry

The hospital also provides a community laundry services to the general public. The opening times and charges are listed below:
