COMMUNITY CENTER

Plans to provide a community centre in Chapeltown on a site adjacent to both the National Primary School and the Local Pre-School/Creche, are well advanced.

Planning permission has been obtained and most of the funding for the project is now in place. It is hoped to commence construction early in 2005.

The Centre will include a hall of approximately 80’ x 40’ which is urgently required to meet a need for an indoor recreation area for the youth of the locality.

This will also be a valuable social and cultural venue for all ages.
